Compassionate Inquiry

Therapy Sessions

Compassionate inquiry therapy sessions allow you to safely explore and understand the root causes of your anxieties, dysfunctions, addictions and relationship patterns. By working together, we will safely explore the underlying core beliefs, which inform these adaptive patterns.

You will begin to understand how these beliefs originated through your childhood experiences and learn how to empower yourself by choosing which beliefs and actions are in alignment with who you truly are now.

Through compassionate inquiry you will develop the capacity to let go of the past stories you tell yourself and to experience moment to moment awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and body sensations.

By feeling and releasing yourself from the past and becoming more attuned to the present, you may find that a new way of being emerges, giving a voice to your authentic self.

These 4 key principles are at the core of compassionate inquiry sessions:

Safety:
You will be asked at the start of each session whether you would like to do a grounding exercise and what your intention for the session is.

I will follow your cues throughout the session checking in with how you are and what you need. There is no pressure to continue the session. You can stop at any time.

Curiosity:
Through the compassion of curiosity, we will deeply explore what you think and feel recognising the difference between perceptions and feelings.

By being curious you will gain clarity and insight into what is true for you and what is not, whilst developing your mind-body connection.

Non-judgement:
You will be free to share whatever is present for you without fear of judgement.

I will accept and validate your experience without criticism or trying to change it.

Taste of victory and possibility:
You will be invited to acknowledge the positive steps and actions you take in your life. Through the compassion of possibility, I will acknowledge and mirror back to you your true self, which underlies your conditioned reactive self.

You will be asked whether your intention has been met at the end of each session and how you will integrate what you have learned into your daily life.
